Gansu water resources and Hydropower Survey and Design Research Institute Co., Ltd. (Lanzhou survey, design and Research Institute, Ministry of water resources) was founded in June 1958. Over the past 60 years since its establishment, the Institute has undertaken to complete comprehensive water resources planning, ecological environment management planning, water conservancy development planning, major water diversion (lifting) project planning, comprehensive planning and special planning of flood control, water-saving irrigation and basin water energy planning of important cities, and technical services such as major flood control, drought relief and emergency rescue.
